Rolex yachtmaster 40 dark rhodium dial

Thinking about buying this watch. I would appreciate opinions of owners and forum members

If your after a Sub style watch with a little bling and polish you picked the right watch.

For my smallish wrist, I find the smaller size especially the Lugs to fit my wrist much better. Such a comfortable watch to wear.

Go for it and enjoy it

I have one for just about a year now. I find it very comfortable to wear, and the little pop of blue looks great. Out of all my watches, this one receives the most compliments.

It's a beautiful watch. If you like it (I do), no reason I can think of not to purchase it.

If I wasn’t enamored with a white face 116500 this would be next for me.

Yeah I really like those. My local AD has one but it's 37mm. I got all excited and then.... no.... haha.

If money wasn't an issue I'd buy a rhodium dial and a blue dial on top of my platinum dial. The YM is such a great watch.

Yachtmaster is extremely comfortable on the wrist. The blue is a nice pop of colour against the dark rhodium dial. The most important thing is whether you like the watch!

I have had mine since March of this year. Thus sent my daily wearer, its for after work and weekends. I have the same set up on this and my Milgauss and this fits much better. I think this is because the Milgauss sits just a bit higher due to the ticker case.
I love strapping the YM on, I feel like a king.

Just a few enabling shots.

Very underrated watch. Had a chance to wear the blue dial one and it is so comfortable and beautiful. Can't go wrong but its definitely not on my list to buy as of yet.

I had the OK from my wife to splurge on a watch for a major birthday. No limit.

I ended up with the blue dial Yacht Master. It’s an extremely comfortable watch to wear. It wears like my 36mm watches.

Great choice.

YM is a great piece - I prefer the blue dial, however.

Buy what you love and wear it in good health!

The Yacht-Master is a supremely comfortable watch, so you can't go wrong in that regard. However, for this colour dial I wish the text and second hand was red like most of the others in this range.

Beautiful time piece!! Most underrated watch IMO
For some reason I enjoy it more than my BLNR and 116710lv I don’t know if that’s a bad or good thing

Absolutely love this watch. It wears well and I really enjoy the hints of blue on the dial and the second hand. The EZ link is fine if you get the watch sized properly.

It’s one of the most underrated sports models IMO.

I say get it.

Wow. Some really stunning shots in this thread. The discontinued Platinum dial is actually my favorite configuration for the YM1 -- love the texture on that dial. The Rhodium would be a close second.

A lot of people here love the blue dial with red text but for me personally, it's my least favorite version of the watch. I could see myself owning the Platinum or Rhodium, but not the blue.

You might still be able to source a NOS platinum dial at some ADs. They used to offer a bit of discount on this model.
