Nice. I don't know what happened but suddenly about a week ago I started to really like the Explorer and want one now.

Would people consider this a dress watch?

Nice!

Wouldn't consider it a dress watch but sure used mine as a dress watch when I had it.

I think it can absolutely function as a dress watch in a small collection (esp. the 36mm), but it is first and foremost a sports watch.

It’s the favorite in my collection.

Most people like its simple elegance

A dressier Sub, IMHO.

Not to hijack the thread, but what makes this a sport watch compared to a dress watch like the Datejust?

Added shock resistance, dial designed for maximum legibility under extreme conditions, brushed bracelet with fliplock clasp...not to mention the heritage. They did name it the EXPLORER afterall.

True. Well I still want one as a dress watch mostly cause it doesn't have PCLs.

Totally understandable and as I mentioned, while not it's primary intended purpose, the Explorer can handle dress watch duty more than competently. It is in my view among the most versatile watches out there.

It can feel the dress roll, in my opinion. It’s a 36mm three hander with no date, only the bracelet makes it a bit sporty.

I’m falling in love with the Explorer. It may be the ultimate “one-and-one” watch.

I wore a suit and tie to work. My Explorer was on a black leather strap with genuine Rolex buckle. Dressy enough for me and NO bling.

I think I would prefer the 39mm.
