Some advice

Complete newbie to Rolex and this world. However I am interested in a 116710 either LN or Batman.

I am not in a hurry to acquire and I notice that the resellers are charging pretty high prices for these. Should I just wait list at an AD and wait or is the used or unworn non-AD pricing what I should expect from an AD as well?

Thanks in advance for your insights.

An AD will charge you MSRP for a new piece so if you’re not in a hurry get on a few lists and just wait. Those two shouldn’t take all that long.

AD will not sell above MSRP. So if you want to wait go AD, if not gotta look elsewhere and expect to pay a premium.

That is what I thought. I really don't understand the inventory and pricing right now for many Rolex sport watches. It makes little sense to me.

Thanks for the advice

I bought my first rolex a couple months ago and it was the 116710LN. I just called and visited the few ADs in my area and out of luck one of them had just received the LN so I went and got it the same day.

The point is that you can probably source one from ADs within a few months but need to be persistent and patient.

Even being “allowed” on to a wait list these days can be a privilege at some ADs!
