GMT Master II 16710 with 1570 movement...original ?

I'd been watching this one on ebay Oz for a while

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....MEWA:IT&ih=001

Apart from the first time the auction concluded and the watch reappeared a few days later, the movement caliber does not match what is supposed to be in a #16710 GMT Master II.

The seller says he bought the watch new, how could it possibly have a #1570 movement. If I'm incorrect, then hey, bid away make it your own.

cheers
Richard

The whole listing is confusing. At the beginning, 1993 or 1994, not sure, bought it new in 1994. The last line: L series 1996. Also the coronet in the crystal - I don't think this was implemented until the late 90's to ~2000 or so. The photo is poor - one more reason not to trust it.

I wouldn't walk away from this...I would run!

Err buddy Richard...welcome to this WatchOut forum...!
That's a BEST catch of the day...!

1. The movement pic is a product of...photoshop!...tm
2. The Dial/Hands/Bezel are FAKEs...!
3. So is the rest of the watch...!
4. Right down to the...box.

Hopes Lady Casper can be kinder...
to get eBay to ban the Seller - leslie_domotor of OZ.

Thanks swissautopro and Orchi,
I thought this one had the smell of old washed up fish, as I'm no expert though, figured best to ask first.

Shame, I'd really like a GMT, in Australia.

Thanks for sharing the knowledge.
