New found respect & appreciation for the Yachtmaster II.

I have to admit, I’ve always wrote this watch off and said it would probably be the Rolex I’d be least likely to purchase. I happened to see the SS version at my AD today and asked to hold the watch, was really blown away by how beautiful the bright blue ceramic bezel was and how it contrasted with the white dial. Looked up some photos online, attached. I’m now a fan of the YMII!

It is a strange watch, in a good way. The older style blue hands are sublime and the ss is the winner of all the combinations with the exception of the all yellow gold model, that beast is amazing.

My next piece was going to be a SS YM II but now I am set on getting a two tone CHNR (root beer).

The Yachmaster II looks like a real "fun" watch. Just looks great and feels like a summer watch. I love my YM I though.

I own the SS model......Last week I saw and wore the solid gold model for the first time.

Holy Freaking Schnitt. I don't think i'd own it, but THAT watch is an absolute beast. There's no apologizing when youre wearing that monster.
Like a freaking beacon.

Never seen anything like it.

lol

It is definitely "bauwce" level.
Someone needs to come in with their wrist shots.

The case is the same size as the SS, which most don't know is big, but VERY contoured. Comfortable as hell.

But as much as the SS Yachtmaster II is a looker, maybe other than my AP's, the one that gets noticed the most, the gold one is like a damn lighthouse..

Its so gold and so big, i'm fairly certain no one would even believe it was real.

I have never seen one irl life but Rob Dyrdek wore one on his show Ridiculousness and it was just that, a beacon that says, look at me. The blue bezel against the yellow gold is striking. I fell in love.

You must get to see one in person. I didn't think I could be made to laugh at a watch at this point.

It made me chuckle..

I'm 6'3 290. Not baller enough for that watch...

Did you buy it, couldn't tell from your post if you went ahead with the purchase. Congrats if you did.

For me it's love hate. I love the watch, the colors, etc. I just go hot and cold on the "Yacht-Master II" on the bezel. I know they had to fill the bezel with something for symmetry but I don't know why it bothers me.
