Why is the GMTII ceramic Pepsi bezel now a hit?!?

Are the GMTII ceramic Pepsi bezel colors now acceptable and praised because they are now available on a stainless steel GMTII and more affordable than the white gold version? It’s amazing how many (myself included) disregarded the ceramic Pepsi bezel but now have embraced it.

Your thoughts?

Because it’s a hot piece that people are going nuts about. The used prices add to the appeal

My opinion of the purple/pink bezel still hasn't changed.
Would prefer the blue of the BLNR and a real red.

I do like the new movement, longer minute hand, and Jubilee.

This ^

Saw them at Basel side by side and the colour is way off, anyone who says different is lying to themselves.

Looking forward to comparing the colors of the new 126710 to my BLNR with my own eyes when it comes in.

Because it’s now £6,800 instead of £20k plus. Nice bracelet and more accessible money wise. Bingo.

Personally, I liked it in WG before but have bugger all chance of getting either currently.

To me it's just a GMT much like the other Rolex GMTs and they have a different bracelet and colour ceramic bezel WOW.

Because it's much cheaper. No other reason.

The vast majority prefer the oyster bracelet, yet so many people are lusting over the SS now.

if you own other rolex watches on Oyster i disagree. Having variety is the key to owning multiples of a watch design that is pretty repetitive throughout the entire product line.

Oyster bracelet, ceramic bezel with numbers, black dial. Its on a ton of different but similar watches.

Jubilee on a GMT looks better actually IMO but its going to objectively stay looking better long term vs a PCL oyster bracelet. Jubilee hides scratches way better. And if you learn anything on the forums, scratches are a big deal. Personally i dont care and would wear either the same, but the jubilee wins here.

I agree, the overall look of most of the SS professional watches is pretty dang similar. I've told my Wife several times that my next watch will have almost anything except a black dial!

i always liked it. I almost bought the WG version several times. The jubilee bracelet and the SS price point sealed the deal for me

Colors were always the colors and they are perfect

I've always wanted it, but wasn't willing to pay for gold....came close a few times and may have eventually done it, but now that it is available in steel, I'll be going in that direction...whenever one comes in...

Exactly, many people have this way of not justifying expensive items, they are negative and try to find anything wrong with them. Since it is way cheaper at the dealer level, now everyone has a woody for it. People are funny.

It's the price, same reason why the SkyD has gotten so much more traction in SS.
