Has anyone ever seen one? I understand it was made in 2017 only.

2017 was the only year in which WG SD overlapped with the blue dial introduced along the new SS SD at Basel 2017. So to a certain extent you are right. 2017 was the only one that if well placed with your AD you might have ordered a WG SD with blue dial.

It may have been available on bracelet too. I saw a picture in a thread here on display in Japan. You'd think it's SS but priced more than double.
