Thanks for the very interesting read. I like how the watch pictured was well worn and not just put away in a safe for all these years. Would have loved to see it with a platinum bracelet instead of a strap.

Btw I'd be remised if I didn't mention this is a great example of Rolex's much less known "custom" offerings. You can essentially have Rolex make you whatever you want at the right price. Even today in 2018. This example is different, but still really cool to see Rolex do non-production type watches.

glad everyone enjoyed it. in terms of significance it is the first platinum daytona that i know of. however, i don't think it takes away from the platona.

unless you buy this watch at auction you will never see the chance again IMO. it just goes to show you rolex make some limited edition watches that are not advertised at all because the purpose for the watch is not a marketing campaign.
