Others will certainly chime in if it looks fake (I can't tell) but if it's too good to be true, then it probably is a scam of some kind. Why risk it?

it is impossible for anyone on this forum to verify the authenticity of that watch based on those pictures alone.

while nothing looks off there is no way one can opine that it is in fact genuine. even if it were real how can you be certain it was not stolen?

buy the seller. buy the seller. buy the seller.

Way too many questions here. Only way I'd do it is find a really reputable local rolex dealer, meet the seller there, and after the dealer opens the caseback and thoroughly inspects it, ONLY do the deal then.

The pics suck, so kind of hard to tell. But it doesn't look right to me. I would pass.

Ran into this last night, authentic SubC that a buddy handed me at the poker table. Says his brother in law got it for sub 5k. I told him its authentic but high likelihood something fishy is going on. Sometimes you have to pass when its too good to be true. There is really no reason to sell that watch for that amount. They could toss it on eBay with really clear pictures and if authentic pull substantially more, even after the 10% fee. Stay away from it.

The pearl looks whack, and the caseback doesn't look right. The crown looks flat on the bottom. Like the posters before said: no deal Howie.

Looking at the first photo, the lume pip and surround looks very suspect and the date magnification appears off to. I think it's one I would feel confident saying "no thanks".

Family friend is a good start; you can get back to them if needed. Take it and have it authenticated. Looks good to me.

Why does the crown look smooth when you look at it from the picture that shows the case back?

Bad pics .... but the print on the dial looks a bit inconsistent. And like others, the date mag doesn't look right either.

For that price I'd need to see the movement, looks priced more like a franken.

Sometimes it is allmost like people want to be scammed. Its hard to see another reason for doing or thinking about doing deals of this kind.

Almost assuredly fake or at best Franken. 16610 is one of the most accurately faked watches out there - beware.

It looks real, but at that price I’d be worried it’s stolen or something.

please tap 3 times on the home button if using an iphone. go into macro mode. take a pic of the dial and bezel using that. then do the same with the clasp inscriptions.

you will need to also take close-up pics of the case after removing the bracelet.
