Discontinued Milgauss White Dial 116400

I am new to Rolex. I have a couple of old datejusts and a new ss sub which got me started on this stuff. I recently saw a new but apparently discontinued Milgauss 116400 with the white dial at a store in MA. I want a Milgauss but have not seen this one until now. Question is that they were asking retail $7650 for it. Store said they just got it. Are discontinued models held by Rolex and then sent much later to sell or has dealer been sitting on it? Is this one less desirable than the ones with the green sapphire crystal? Since it is discontinued, I want to get a bigger discount on it. I wasn't too serious about it till the next day so have to go back in to negotiate.

Discontinued awhile. One of the few sports models with a white face. (EXPII and Daytona) you should get a discount for sure. Been tracking the pre-owned market and they go for around 5k if that helps.

I got my white dial Milgauss back in July from my AD for $6590. The AD across the street from him (there are only two here in Omaha) could get one in from one of their sister stores but would only sell at retail.

You can get them at a discount for sure.

The white dial one always looked with the orange accents
Good luck on getting a discount
