Thunderbirds are go!
I just bought this turn o’graph 16264, year 1991 and I’m extremely pleased I did.
I was going to get a DJ 16014 and was even considering an American pyscho but this particular piece came up and I jumped on it. I got it for $4811 Australian (3500 US) and according to Chrono24 and my own research is worth about 1500 AUD more. I have no intention of selling it but getting a deal you’re happy with is always nice. Anyway , just wanted to say I think TOGs are a great entry level Rolex to buy. I believe they will continue to increase in value and also are (arguably) a damn good looking watch. Thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It is a great watch. An underrated, understated Rolex with a timing bezel. If I wanted to be a one watch guy the TOG would be it.

I have a black T-Swiss-T dial TOG. It's underrated, undervalued, under-loved, and great looking on the wrist under the sun. Reflection of lights on the bezel is subtly different from that of a steel case.
It carries the same 3135 movement as the Sub but it's less than half the price and with a white gold bezel. If I were a Sub owner, I would sell my Sub and go long of 2 TOGs and a few bottles of champagne. I know a lot of Sub owners would disagree. Lets check the prices again in 3-5 years' time. |
