It’s not to say I don’t love this watch......because I do. I just prefer a 5 digit SS sub for the more adventuresome things in life. Does that make more sense?? (The thread title was just supposed to be provocative)

I’d say he’s hinting it’s growing on him. And great watch! Wear mine quite a bit

The Smurf has always been a stunner to me and on my grail list. I think I understand it may have converted you somewhat to start loving ceramic Subs. Anyways wear and enjoy your Smurf in good health. Cheers!

Yeah. I hate my Lamborgini. Darn thing is too low. Why don't they make an SUV?

They do. and he's not complaining one bit, he's stating that this piece is so nice he wouldn't want to wear it as a tool watch like they were originally intended.

I primarily wanted to post this picture because of the lighting and dial color. It is just such a deep beautiful blue in this lighting.

Great pics! Love that blue dial. I’m not sold on PCLs on a sub. But I could get over it I think.

What about the 6 digit sub makes it less of a tool than the 5 digit one? Either way, I love all subs |

—Ceramic is not end-user removable for cleaning purposes —Lack of drilled-through lug holes. Lug pins less sturdy —I guess they are both “tools”, but the 116610 is too expensive to repair if damaged for me. These are the main things for me. I still dive with my 5-digits that have drilled through lug holes or my Rolex with welded bars. I realize they are all expensive, but I have a couple Rolex watches that I bought before the crazy prices. I feel more comfortable diving with these watches.

That’s a great one to let grow on you. I can understand not diving with it. I am a diver and I will not dive with mine. Computers replaced my dive watches for functionality long ago.

Yes that makes perfect sense Jason.
Beautiful watch. I love those PCLs. And I love how that white gold looks. Thanks for sharing those pictures. I'm sure they don't do it justice.
