Depends on the AD and your relationship with them
Times like this consider yourself lucky to get a ss model, let alone a 5%. Having said that, some might still score 15% or more but that’s not the rule now!

These days even the less popular models will get hardly any discount. If PM pieces are getting 5% off getting that off an SS Rolex is good.

Undesirable to whom? My AD sells them in a week. He says they are the second best selling model after the sub.

5% is a decent discount on a SS watch in the current market.

A well-known gray seller currently has one in unworn condition and is asking 6.5% under MSRP. 5% off from an AD sounds pretty good in comparison, at least on the actual price. Once tax is factored in (or out), that could change the picture significantly.

Probably no discounts here in NYC. I also don’t gave a relationship with ADs here and they go relatively quick here

Ss sports even a slow mover is lucky to be discounted now. Dj -10%, tt-15% and zero for sports is what I have encountered.

I got 5% off a Polar at my AD in January. Nothing off a Z-Blue in June. When I politely pressed them, they equally politely and firmly said they were now doing zero discounts on SS Rolex.

Nowadays it's an honour to pay a deposit and go on the bottom of a waiting list.

What a difference five months make!

I bought my Zblue new in may and my AD gave me a 9% discount and no tax (or tax included) I was happy.

My AD has a white, blue, and green Milgauss. PM me and I'll give you their info, you can call and see if they'll beat the 5%. They've all been sitting in the case for a while... along with a black dial DSSD. Seriously, that DSSD has been there forever and I don't get why.

Mine has the same exact thing. 3 Milgauss and a DSSD black dial for a long time. She offered me 6% when I asked. You can get easily 10% from a grey on the Milgauss
