Incoming SubC Date and Tudor Black Bay

Hi all,

Lurked on here for a couple months before deciding to take the plunge on a new Sub Date. Lucky enough to know the son of an owner at a medium sized Detroit Metro area Rolex AD. The shortage is real, and no pieces hiding in the back for ViP's. They only expect one more small shipment of SS before the end of the year. Cant even put people on a list due to demand and lack of insight into what is actually coming in. Was given first shot at purchasing this over a couple of people they knew to be reseller's.

Either way this is an amazing watch and a once in a lifetime purchase. The weight and quality are amazingly apparent the instant you put it on and I am fully hooked. Hope to add a piece or two to my collection down the road and appreciate this forum and all the informative posts.

For people waiting on the Black Bay 58 I put down a fill deposit in late June and received mine in early September. Very different vibe than the Sub, but amazing in it's own way. Has a great blend of vintage appeal and wearability

Cheers All.

Congrats! Am I the only one that thinks that BB 58 looks better?

To me, they look so different it is hard to compare. Love them both and plan to rotate heavily.

No, I'm with you there. I think the 58 has a warmer look than the monochrome Sub but maybe I'm biased because I prefer straps to the colder look of metal bracelets. Both great watches but I would prefer the Tudor. Congratulations.

I also picked up one of the hand woven Tudor Camo Nato Straps for the Black Bay 58. Plan on getting it put on in a week or two and will update with pics then.

In general I have always preferred Nato/Leather, but it was instant and pure love on first sight with the SuB in Stainless steel. In many ways I think it was a testament to the hard work I have put in to be able to afford such a beautiful and timeless classic.

Congratulations. I assume you’ll soon be in the market for an AP?

....considering where you live!

Handsome pair of watches. I love that strap on the BB58. It sets off the gold bezel scale and gold hands perfectly. I might have to consider that.

Does anyone have a pic of the buckle?
