SS Sub Date or TT Bluesy — Tough Decisions

TRF’ers,

Need your opinions...

Currently have the following:

SS Sub date (hardly ever wear and basically brand new)
Speedy Pro hesalite (regular wear)
OP 39 White dial (regular wear)
Hamilton Jazzmaster Day/Date (hardly wear)

I been be eyeing the TT Sub Bluesy a lot lately (be nice to have something in PM). The catch would be I need to get rid of the SS Sub date. (Not for financial reasons but for logical reasons)

1. Would you do it?
2. How would the value of the TT sub hold up compared to the SS sub?
3. Any chance I’d be able to get a discount on the TT sub in this market?

Thanks

SS Sub Date or TT Bluesy — Tough Decisions

I’d never get rid of a stainless Sub for a TT — I love both references - but I’d have to add the TT — and yes — they can co-exist.

I don’t ever really like to talk value - but Stainless will hold better value vs. TT over time. As far as discounts — unless you have VERY good rapport with your AD - I wouldn’t expect one.

With your collection I would. Its an amazing piece. So stunning especially outside. inside, it mutes down nicely.

Value-wise, your going to take a hit if you buy brand new. If you're okay with it, buy preowned. But value shouldn't play a part....These things are about how they make you feel when you look down at them.

Some people don't like the flashiness of it...I say it pops vs being flashy, and I love that.

You should be able to get a 10% discount, but, considering the lack of a SS supply, maybe not.

If the SS isn't getting much time, flip it. I personally like color and my LN GMT sees the least amount of wrist time.

I was afraid someone was going to say, keep both . Is there a sub-forum for a watch addiction support group???

The bluesy is one of my favorite TT And they can absolutely coexist.
Don’t worry about resale! Watches aren’t for investment. Wear what you like

I have a Bluesy Sub C and a SD4K ..:
Great pair !!!! Keep your SS sub and add the
Bluesy... you’ll be very happy as they compliment
one another nicely or flip your SS Sub for
a Sea Dweller for a little more variety...

Do not sell. The Bluesy is a flashy watch, your ss goes under the radar. Idk in Canada, but in the USA you can get a discount if you do not live in Manhattan or San Francisco :) Around 15%. Just ask..
Again, do not sell if you are financially OK.
If you are not, do whatever is better for your pocket..
