Quality Control of 15400st Dial
Hi everyone,
I'm a new AP owner and it's my first time posting here. I collected my new 15400st silver dial a few days ago from an AD. While I was admiring the workmanship through a 10x loupe, I unexpectedly found some issues which I think should not slipped through AP's QC. 1. A blemish spot in the space between the words "AUDEMARS" AND "PIGUET". 2. White spots on the 5 o'clock marker. 3. A white hair-like object stuck to the 22 seconds marker. Have any of you had such issues? Thank you. Apologies I do not have at east 10 posts to post pictures but I think it's important to show the pictures. tinyurl(dot)com/yat749fy tinyurl(dot)com/y7gpq8px Sent from my HUAWEI VNS-L31 using Tapatalk Sent from my HUAWEI VNS-L31 using Tapatalk |

First picture I thought you were trolling me. Second picture I'd hate. Any particles on the white gold parts, whether indices or hands annoooooyyys the hell out of me.

Thanks for the replies.
I guess I didn't have to look at it with a 10x loupe, but being a first time owner of an AP which is famous for its top tier finishing, I couldn't help checking it out myself. I must say I am a little disappointed. I do want to get this fixed as soon as possible, but am a little apprehensive about opening the unnecessarily since it's working fine. I have written to the service centre and will see what they propose. Sent from my HUAWEI VNS-L31 using Tapatalk |

Never use a loupe to look at your watch... it is not perfect and never will. If it is obvious to the naked eye, then yes it shouldn’t be there.

Appologies for the multiple reply. I thought that my first reply didn't go through and didn't notice the reply has to be approved by the moderator.

First one is so tiny it’s barely visible with the loupe so really wouldn’t bother about it.
Second photo I would want fixing if watch was new from an AD. Warranty should cover this work as it is a QC issue. As with all manufacture, issues arise, but it’s in how they are fixed a company can measure themselves. AP seem to be one of the best in the business at customer service for things like this, so I’m sure they will take care appropriately. P.s. how did you take the photos - Through the loupe lens with a mobile phone ?

As for the photos, I took it with the Panasonic DMC-LX7 compact camera in macro mode. Took quite a number of shots to get a clear image. Sent from my HUAWEI VNS-L31 using Tapatalk |

Mine had a speck of dust on the date window. Will point it out when I send it for service next time.

Yes fair enough I think. APSC - give your local centre a ring and say you have a warranty issue and want to send the watch in for service. Great zoom on the photos too !
