Hey - check out what is at the Rolex.com website

At the top of the Rolex.com website is where they promote various things, and these change from time to time. Golf, Datejusts, etc.

It is now featuring the Explorer 214270.

Feel free to formulate your own opinions as to why the Explorer is being promoted.

My guess is that they are promoting it because it is one of the few available stainless models available to customers...

Clearly they've finally realized it's the flagship of the brand.

Why?

If I am already on their website do they need to "promote" anything? The banners rotate, simple as that.

That is so cool! The Explorers (I & II) are two professional models that have never been heavily promoted (until now, that is). I mean, I have never seen Roger Federer put one on after a win! Let's see if that changes!
