If you can swing keeping it and add the BLNR that would be my choice. If you have to trade I would just keep what you have... Not worth losing on it and adding more money on top of that. If both new from a dealer then BLNR...

I have both watches. My first Rolex was DSSD. Then got call within a month from same AD with offer to purchase BLNR. I ended up wearing DSSD most of the time and when I wear BLNR I miss my DSSD. Yes BLNR is more comfortable and lighter watch. However for unknown me reason I like DSSD more. It's just my 2 cents

I appreciate the feedback. I had an Omega seamaster Americaxs Cup and really liked how it wore. Traded it for a submariner and was disappointed. Traded the sub for an Omega GMT and then back to Rolex.

it's totally different watch of its own........if u own a diving watch, i would flip it.........otherwise, adding BLNR will make a good collection

I have the DSSD and BLNR duo....and I can tell you its worth working to have them both in a collection as opposed to flipping the Diver and adding cash for the GMT. There's just something about the DSSD that no other watch (well maybe the SD43) gets close too in terms of a dive watch. My .02

I tried!! Decided to sell the DeepSea when my Daytona and Batman came in. I just could not part with it - - especially with this new strap!!!!! It is just that great of a watch!

My advice, just ADD the BLNR and move on!

I would love the blnr over the deepsea, but a lot of it has to do with the fact that the deepsea just simply wears too big on my wrists. Good Luck!

I wouldn't make that trade unless for some reason the DSSD has become uncomfortable for you to wear. The BLNR is no better of a watch. Some may think of it as cooler for some reason, but that's just subjective. Unless you have a need for a GMT function and can only keep one, no reason to make that trade.

Agreed. In a boardroom or meeting with CFL lighting, that blue is going to pop pretty loudly. In that scenario, I'd call the color tone Bugatti Blue. EB110 style

and especially if you need all the WR rating and a HE valve, then you swap for a watch that cant go 12,800 feet and you are just left with an extra time zone feature, and who needs that

TBH i prefer the DSSD to the BLNR if you have the wrist for it.

Lol good point

I'd take the same perspective if the other way around too with owning the BLNR first. Largely bc of the OP having to add cash. If a straight swap, it's a wash.

Id keep the DSSD... GMT is great watch, completely different functionally but the DSSD is a technical marvel.. but end of the day do what makes you happy... crumby thing is if you change your mind back its a PITA to try and find another black DSSD
