Leftover SBGA083 39 mm
Looked at one of these with the older Seiko/GS logo. I liked it a lot. How does this compare to the snowflake as far as movement and case finishing? I know the snowflake has the cooler, pun intended, dial. I also has the clear back. The SBGA083 is a better price point for me especially since my first GS. What kind of discount possible on the older SBGA083? I haven't actually been able to locate a Snowflake to try on.

I like this model lots and am looking to buy the 283 (new version) for my Dad in Feb. I prefer the 083 dial but will go new. I like the straight lined indices. The snowflake as well as the sbga201 have angled (trapezoidal?) markers at 6, 9 and twelve. At 12.3 tall, I think it’s a millimeter thinner than the snowflake. Great watch.

What kind of pricing/discount are you getting on this one? I am getting 20% off but still thinking about it.
