Day-Date 40 (228328)

Having completed my collection of Rolex Sports watches, time to turn one's focus on the next (long-term) addition. I think I need to add something a little more classic : other that my (albeit beautiful) 1978 Datejust, I just have Submariner and GMT's.

I've been looking at the Day-Date 40 - fluted yellow gold, with champagne dial. The MRSP for this watch is £30,200 here in the UK.

So a question (being someone who really has only focused on the Sports market these last few years) is whether this is a watch which is best to pick up used? Is it hard to get etc?
