I broke my Pepsi GMT

Just took delivery of a new Jubilee bracelet for my circa 1971, Pepsi GMT.

Went to adjust the time and the crown/stem came off in my hand! I was so upset, that I immediately headed to my Rolex service center to get it sorted.

I just hope it’s not totally wrecked.

Nice looking 1675, don’t sweat it. I’m sure it’s an easy fix.

Lovely watch, and the stem coming out really is no problem at all as RSC will fix it right up in no time.

I'm sure RSC will be more than happy to replace the crown (and the dial, hands & date wheel)

Looks much nicer on jubilee than the latest version. Just don’t understand the hype surrounding that one.

There is a small screw that holds the stem in place. It was probably loose and needs tightening or broke and needs to be replaced.

Happened me on a 5513 Sub - small screw had just come loose. Was always one of my concerns with Rolex. Would be interested to hear from anyone who knows if more modern versions still relay on that screw?

The screw was replaced with a push pin during the late 1970s.

The green arrow points out the detent screw which will sometimes loosen itself.

Thanks for all the encouragement and feedback. The Rolex service center called to let me know the watch is ready. As most of you suspected....loose screw.

While I have your attention, can anyone confirm if my GMT dial is a MKII or a MKIV?
