Please help, need reassuring...

My wife had what I call and intervention with me the other day. She gets the watch thing but...finally broke down and said, can you relax and chill and just wear the ones you worked so hard acquired???

I had to stop and think and I do sort of agree that I should just wear these and relax.

New GMT Pepsi
New Daytona C White
Sub C No Date (Foundation that will not move)

This is after I thinned things down and moved the sea Dweller, Daytona C Black, hulk, Explorer Polar White and Blue Pelagos...

When I type it out it does seem to be a problem..

Ha! I could definitely see my wife saying the same thing. It's a good line up that you can enjoy for a while. I have a 16750 (30 year old GMT BLRO) a Sub C ND and am hoping my AD comes through with the Daytona C White for my 50th in March. My plan is to enjoy the three for a while since I think it definitely gives the right mix and there are only so many days in a week to mix them up.

3 is a good number. Really not that bad. I think the chase is what is fun about rhe hobby. Sometimes we find some peace and solace when we find that piece,...however short lived it may be :)

My wife is an enabler saidly. She has her own list and she has a list for me.

Oh, I'm sure any of our lawyer members could explain it better, in more detail.

You have the holy trinity already..

However, I would add just one 16710. Especially after you moved all those others!

You have a great combo. Unfortunately for you and your, it’s going to need a lot more than an intervention to get watches off your mind.

I would sit back and enjoy what you have.....for the moment.
You've done a good bit of flipping in the past XX months/years and seem to have settled into three that you like. Now is the time to relax, squirrel away your watch funds and think about what you want to add next. Take your time and really think about it. Half (if not more) of the fun is the opportunity to look at the forums, see wrist shots, read reviews, and think about what you really want. The watches you want to pull the trigger on now will (most likely) still be there when you finally do decide what you want to add next. Just my $.02 and what I'm currently doing myself.

If you’re not gambling, drinking excessively, doing drugs or other women, I would say it’s a pretty inexpensive hobby.

There is a saying - 'You can have too much time on your on your hands' - normally means you need to fill it with something useful.... Or just buy a new watch .. lol

Sounds like a first class lineup. Enjoy the 3 you have for now. You can always change at a later date.

I agree with your wife, seems like you might enjoy the hunt the most. You've got three of the most popular SS Rolex models, you might change it up, but you're not going to do better by most standards.

Wear what you have for awhile and enjoy them, You've got a great collection. Your wife is right.

Sorry, I can’t reassure you. I suggest you try and find contentment in the awesome watches you already have. Staying off this forum for a while may be the only way for you to do that.
