Another newer bracelet on a vintage watch thread
After success using a newer bracelet clasp on my older GMT I found myself digging through an old drawer to find a new project. As with my last thread, purist look away...!
--Putting a newer datejust bracelet (62510H) from a Rolex 16234 on my 1970's Rolex Thunderbird datejust. This time I didn't have to perform link removal surgery as I did for my GMT; I basically just removed the entire bracelet from one watch and installed it on another. The Datejust 16234 now has a comfortable blue leather strap. My Old thread with the GMT: https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=635612 In my opinion most newer Rolex bracelets are quite simply made better, they don't seem to stretch as much, and the claps simply work better than some of my older bracelets. I am very happy with the results. Enjoy...
