Apologies for an honest mistake.

I posted a new thread yesterday about getting an LV but registered a different account to do it. Not because I was trying to fool anyone but because I didn't want to rock the boat with my regular AD and he knows my username. I didn't realise it wasn't allowed!
It wasn't a lie or anything like that and I'd like to say that today's buying experience was fantastic. It's the first time I have bought from this Rolex AD. They have a Rolex service centre in store and showed me around the workshop introducing me to the staff, it was great.
In the window they had a Tudor GMT on nato, the new Omega Seamaster 300 range, the CK2998. Rolex Milgauss, Yachtmaster 116622 blue, bi metal sky dwellers, explorer ii! More than a lot of other dealers I have seen.
The biggest bonus? It's a bit silly but a Rolex baseball cap for my son!
Made my day!

Congratulations!

You are the Customer and the AD needs to Work to Earn Your Business. IMHO there is no reason to feel bad if you buy a watch from a different AD.

Funny story. I walked in to an AD and the SA whom I've purchased a couple of watches from notices my 116710LN and she says "nice, how long have you had that?" and I tell her "about 3 days". And her face dropped. About an hour later, I get a text telling me that while she can't stop me from shopping elsewhere she wishes I told her first. I'm sorry, I didn't know I had to get authorization on when and where to spend my money. I simply replied, rather than me telling her, she should tell me if/when she has anything available.
It's funny because with this SA it's always doom and gloom. Nothing is coming in, everything is spoken for, blah blah blah. With a different SA from a different AD, it's always, "hang in there, I'm working on it." or "I can't promise an ETA but I can promise you that I'm doing my best". Whether it's just a sales pitch, you have to love the positive attitude.
On a side note, does anyone know how watches are allocated among the sales staff? Like, if a BLRO comes in, who gets to decide which SA gets the first crack at it?

AD's and most people in sales will make you feel like they are your friends and there is some sort of loyalty towards you and make you feel like you should have some sort of loyalty towards them. From my past experience it doesn't last too long and your only as good as your last purchase. Don't worry too much about how they feel, they'll be just fine.
Excellent watch, love it!!! Wear it well with NO EXCUSES

Congratulations, it sounds like a great AD experience along with a fantastic watch!

FWIW, I also have relationships with multiple AD's and some of them sell the same brands, and while I always try to never wear a piece I did not buy from them around them, I think they pretty much know I work with other AD's and thats ok!

Hull. Hugh Rice and it was great, like buying Rolex in the old days! Felt special. Really really no offence but from the shopping centre in which it was located I didn't expect such a fantastic looking store and to have it's own Rolex and Omega service centre means I can take my watch in and know it's staying there (Apart from Daytonas, YM2s and another model I can't recall which are sent off)

Same thing happened to me. I really let the SA hear it

As much as i appreciate building a relationship with my AD if i got the chance to buy from another AD and not have to wait I would buy instantly

What was rest of their rolex stock like?

I think he's asking how, if there is a hot item like the BLRO, where every SA has their own "list" of buyers, who gets priority for that piece when it comes in? Does SA #1 get to call their guy or does SA #2 get their buyer ahead of #1's, who may have spent more money?

This is a common thing, where an AD doesn't keep a single list, but each SA keeps their own and they are stuck fighting over who gets the hot piece when it comes in.

I was lucky enough to pick a piece that wasn't currently on order and they gave me the next one that came in (116710LN).

Is the Tudor GMT demand fading now? Seeing one in display was a first for me
