MY NEW Milgauss GV!

Pictures to come later tonight!!
It was a last min thing... I been wanting for a while... I bought the new 41mm daydateII 2 weeks ago from my local AD.. My sales guy told me if i ever need anything to just call him.. I woke up today and wanted one so I called him up. He said he just got a V serial 2009 in 2 days ago and it has been on hold for someone but he said if I want it I can have it since I spend $$ with him.. so anyways I came in and looked at it in person.. I need a beater watch so I bought it. i also made him give me 10% off the GV.. so I paid $6273.00 USD what do you guys think on that deal?

Also do many of you think i made the right move? Do you think the GV will always be a rare find like the SS Daytona?

Keep a look out for pictures tonight!

is it really? I thought from all the talk around here that the gv is becomming more of a common watch.. Is this true or do you guys think it will always be a hard find like the ssdaytona?

10% is an awesome deal that I hear for a GV. Was at several socal ADs and most wouldn't budge from list. I'll get it if your AD do phone transaction. DArnn.......

Congratulations on buying a great watch at a very decent price! As for the GV's rarity, I'd say that it might be a bit harder to find than the normal Milgauss and yes, it could be as scarce as the S/S Daytona, but the fact that all these watches are now available at MRSP (or even less) indicates that demand has dropped significantly. How long this will continue I have no idea but it does mean that now is a great time to buy!

Good price and congratulations on your new purchase!
Hard to say which is better (GV or Daytona). I like, and have owned both but sold my GV earlier in 2008 simply because I was offered more than double what I paid for it. I don't think I could ever sell my Daytona though...
I never understood how the GV could be worth that much but I guess it's all a matter of supply and demand. Here in Asia, watch trends are mainly fueled by the Japanese and will trickle down to HK, Taiwan, Singapore and the rest of Asia, hence how a GV could be worth almost 3 times it's retail price.
I hope the guy who bought it from me did so because he liked it and not because the price was on an upward trend. If those were his intentions, I'm sure he is regretting it now.
In the end, it boils down to what you like. The GV is a very unique looking watch w/ the green glass and the orange hands which is sure to get a lot of stares. Come to think of it, now that prices have come down and the fad for them seems to have died a bit, maybe I'll try to find myself another one!

also to add,
I was given 10% off and he put me infront of the person whome it had already been spoken for and gave it to me as I have been buying from him for years and I am always faithful customer with him so in return this was his thanks he said.. the least he could do after I bought the DDII from him 2 weeks ago... All around thoughts about the watch, I like it, very simple, if not for the green crystal I would never have bought this watch.. I think it is very uniqe because of the crystal.. I have had the LV in the past and I really did like it, But I feel this is a much better beater watch as it does not have a insert to scratch up and the clasp is more solid then that on the LV other wise I might have gone back with another LV.. but I really dig the watch, I dont feel guilty slapping this around day to day..
