Squale 1545 Militaire 20 ATMOS Ceramic
This is my 3rd Squale that I’ve purchased. It is definitely a homage to the Rolex Military watch from years ago. Steinhart also makes their version. The reason I go with Squale is the way the case sits on the wrist. I like the way it feels. It’s just as comfortable as my Submariner. I don’t like the way the Steinhart case is shaped & their original Military was 42mm although they just came out with a 39mm.
The 1545 Militaire has a 40mm case powered by a ETA-2824-2 elaborated grade movement, with hacking & hand winding. Power reserve of 42 hrs. A domed sapphire crystal coated with anti-reflective on the inside. Solid endlinks with a divers extension and a engraved ceramic bezel filled with silver gilt. The all brushed bracelet has screw in links. The dial is matte black with sword hands & the lume is SuperLuminova GL old radium. Dollar for dollar IMO you can’t find a better watch. The one thing I wish they would change is the dial which has Squale twice but it’s not a deal breaker for me. I purchased this watch from Gnomon watches in Singapore for $570.00. I ordered it on Monday morning & it arrived on Friday morning.

Thanks but I don’t think there is much love for homage watches here but I buy what I like.

Very nice Chuck, congrats. I do like these Squale pieces, and they are a brand with an interesting history

Squale 1545 Militaire 20 ATMOS Ceramic
Looks nice ! I have one Squale, a 50 atmos and agree it’s great value. How is the bezel and the bracelet on this piece ? Also, can you show a pic of the side profile ?

The bezel is smooth and while I wish the Squale came with a tapered down bracelet like my submariner the bracelet that it comes with is very comfortable.
