Help needed - My third watch!
Hi all, I currently have two watches, and looking to add one more to complete my collection. My current collentions are -
1. 116520 Daytona White dial 2. 14060 No Date Sub two-liner And here are few candidates I am considering - 1. 114270 Explorer 1 36mm 2. IW3253 IWC Mark XV 3. Omega Speedmaster ‘First Omega In Space’ I don’t usually wear suits, and prefer small size watches as I have relatively thin wrist. That’s why I only prefer watches under 40mm. Personally, they give you a classic look too. So, which one do you guys think is the best to be my third watch? |

Being biased towards Rolex I’d say the explorer. Happy hunting.

Personally I think the IWC will round your collection nicely. Plus they wear amazing in dress and casual.

Based on your list I vote the Explorer.
But I agree a GMT would be a great addition. I know it’s 41mm, but have you ever thought about the Tudor GMT on the NATO? I think it wears small, you have the “vintage” look but a new in house movement with a great power reserve. I think it would be worth considering. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I'd go with the 39mm Explorer or OP in black.

Agree on the explorer. I would suggest you try the 39mm explorer I as it would be quite trio. It wears smaller than most because it is so sleek. I tried it on yesterday and had just enough will power to not pull the trigger. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I would go with something that has a date to round out your 3. BLNR or BLRO, or if you want something that wears smaller, a 16710. For date only, a datejust would fit in well.

Not in your list, but I would go for a DateJust 36mm, classic, date function and a bit dressier than your current 2.

I would buy Omega Speedmaster! Some variety with great history into your collection. I recently found Omega into my collection and I’ve been reading about the Apollo-programs etc. Speedmaster is just incredible watch; the steel bracelet is IMO more comfortable than Rolex-bracelet. Totally different character when compared to Rolex-watches. Easy and stylish, not too loud (EXPENSIVE WATCH!!! LOOK AT ME!!); perfect time piece!!! Fits very well with Rolex-watches. Boot the white dial Daytona while they’re hot. Replace with a traditional Speedmaster and JLC Reverso. Move up to a Patek for #4, and then continue with other Rolex’s. This would give you four iconic brands/watches as a the perfect base collection.

You have two great watches. Omega speedmaster with the hesalite is a classic. Of course that would give you two chronographs. But the Explorer 1 in 36mm is classic too. And for those occasions when you need to dress more formally would look great on a strap. I suggest you focus on one of those two.

Omega
I’m wearing my FOIS today, have been all week actually But the classic speedy pro with heselite on leather is probably my fav. I’d definitely consider that. Judging by your collection the omega option would bring a fantastic balance and something for the dressier occasions |

I like the history of the speedmaster as well, but I find myself choosing other watches when I go to the watchbox. Never been a huge fan of the Exp, so I would opt for the IWC.

You’ve got the Daytona, so adding the speedmaster seems a bit redundant in a 3 watch collection. I am tempted to say IWC as I think it’ll look best on leather of all your watches and considerations, but probably would just go with the explorer

Diversify a little. You already have a couple nice rolex’s, why not consider the other two at this point? Also, I thought that omega was not an easy watch to find.

All 3 options are great choices and all iconic watches on their own.
However this being a Rolex forum, you have to go with the Explorer. |

I’d vote FOIS. That’s a great watch, and would add some good diversity IMO.

Between these three, explorer. I may add a gmt, 5 or 6 digits SS.
