Just wanted to say hello and share a couple pics of the new sub date I just purchased. Never thought such a mass marketed watch would be in such short supply, whether it’s due to overall market exhuberance or Rolex really being on top of their game maintaining a steady gap in supply/demand.

Walked into the local AD and I guess they had just received a shipment the day before Thanksgiving, the AD brought this baby out still in the plastic box. I tried it on and just had to get it. An expensive purchase and my first Rolex, but I like the fact that it’s understated and doesn’t draw a lot of attention. I was initially going for a DJ, but that seems to be less versatile and not a fan of the polished oyster bracelet. Anyways, it’s nice to be able to afford such an iconic watch and to me the date feature completes the look.
