2 Watch Collection Advice

I currently have a 2 watch collection. A Datejust II with Rhodium diamond dial, and a Hulk. I’m finding that I’m not excited about my datejust II anymore. Thinking of maybe selling it. My local AD can get me a GMT Batman in 6-8 months or sooner. They got me my Hulk in 4 months. Should I go that route and get the Batman? Or what would you suggest should be my next move?

Datejust II is a nice looking watch but I'm personally not a fan of diamond dials. If you like the GMT - then I say go for it

What features are you looking for? Do you need a GMT feature? Looking for something dressy? Would a SS Skydweller be a good replacement for the Datejust?

I’m looking for something 10,000 and under. And nothing too dressy maybe something that can be dressed up or down with

Do you think the Green Sub and Batman would be a good 2 watch collection? I think so

The BLNR and LVc would make a fantastic two watch combo. If you're used to the DJ though, you'd be losing a more "dressy" option as the sub and gmt are both pretty sporty. That said, I rock my BLNR with a suit all the time, no problem.

I think Hulk and Daytona would make a better collection.

Sounds like the BLNR is the way to go. It dresses up and down nicely and its look changes with the lighting. Happy Hunting.

2 Watch Collection Advice

In my opinion the BLNR is the most versatile sports reference other than the black submariner and submariner date. From a comfort standpoint it will wear more like your DJII than your sub. Which to me is a good thing.

It’s always nice to have a piece that can be worn in dressier situations. This depends on the person of course. Some people are very comfortable wearing BLNR/Hulk for dressier occasions. For me, neither the Hulk nor the BLNR fits the bill for that need. If I had a Hulk and was looking for a 2nd watch, I’d consider a omething like a OP, DJ, DD or even a Exp.

Blnr and LvC is a great duo. Blnr and DJ41 would work for me.

You will probably take quite a loss on the Datejust, but ultimately if you are unhappy it’s time to let it go. I’m more of a fan of the LN vs the BLNR. Good luck.

Do you all think the BLNR will ever sell for under retail? Or will it hold its value?

Only you can decide what will work for you; there is no absolute right answer!!! You just need to love the watches!!!

Have you considered the TT RG GMT CHNR?

Then you would still have a dressy option as well as a killer 2 watch collection

It will certainly hold its value, but it will not appreciate like the Daytona. Instead of spending 10k think of someone is giving you 8

Turn the DJ2 into a 41 — or I’d consider the SkyDweller route as mentioned above -

While they can definitely co-exist for a two watch collection - a Sub and a GMT and just too redundant overall - aesthetically for me.

I have the LVc and BLNR and are a great pair.

But I think your Datejust is a stunning watch and having the diamond dial makes it so different to the sports watches.

If you just want two watches, then stick with what you've got.

I’d personally stick with your current combo but agree that blnr and lvc make a nice duo.

If you can swing it (wrist size and $$-wise), why not a SD43? That and the LVC would be killer too
