Watch dial error or damage

Has anyone ever looked at a Rolex at an AD or purchased a Rolex and when they got it home noticed a design issue with the dial, i.e., the R missing from the work Rolex, or something damaged on the dial?

I was at an AD recently and noticed a letter was half missing on the dial..so I am just wondering has anyone seen something like this before? I know nothing is perfect just wondering if this a very very very rare instance?

If there's one company in the world that I would trust in Quality Control - it's Rolex. However, humans aren't perfect... I have heard of it happening. The AD and Rolex are normally very proactive and apologetic.

In 30 years wearing Rolex never saw an error in a Rolex dial, but if so, the guarantee would be immediate-

I had a similar issue with the lume of the 11 marker. Dis not bother me.

Recently, after 15 years + of ownership, I asked, while sending the watch for a service, about the price for replacing the dial and it was quoted at 400€.

I blame myself for not having raised the issue right after having bought the watch.
