Falling on a Ceramic (Pepsi) Sword

Since the launch of the Ceramic Pepsi, I’ve joined in with the “whatever” community and panned the weird magenta color, and all the hoo hah.

While I still contend I am delighted with my 16710 Pepsi/Coke/LN...and my GMTIIC LN and I won’t play into the waitlist / premium price lunacy for the new GMT...I have had a change of heart.

Last night I had the opportunity to try on a week-old PepsiC at a GTG. Perhaps the Red color has changed, but I found it perfect. The watch is quite nice indeed.

Same here, I went from hater to lover the moment I saw it in natural and indoor light and strapped one on and I haven’t taken it off since.

I was a non buyer at first, now a proud owner of one. The watch changes colors depending on lighting.

Shouldn’t have tried it on! Now you won’t be able to stop thinking about it and unless you go grey, there won’t be any play!

Looks great on you! That's exactly what happened to me with the LVc after years of distaste. Took me one time to actually try it on.

Only one thing wrong with the watch is the availability.

I think what’s changed most over the past few years since the original “cranberry” WG model is the quality of cameras on phones, not the bezel inserts themselves.

Did you consider a YG root beer GMT ? May suit you skin color too.

Hmm. I think the Root Beer I would consider is a vintage nipple dial...on Jubilee

Try it on, you will be sold instantly. Happened to me, pull the trigger, let go 16710 and never look back (no regret whatsoever). Don’t be a hater just because the BLRO availability. That’s call bitterness :)

You missed the entire point of my post

I like the new Pepsi. Do I want / need one...no. Am I bitter? No.

There is no trigger to be pulled.

I think it’s a very nice watch. I was impressed.

Yeah...I get that. I was the same way when the WG model was introduced a few years ago, sort of "meh." But, tried one on and knew it was a better watch than I had given it credit for. The whole heart rate speeding up thing was a bad sign.

Thanks...but I’m not trying. I don’t have a modern Rolex in my sights these days. However, I wouldn’t say no to Vintage!

That said, if I walked into an AD...and they had in stock one to sell me. I know, when pigs fly.
