Help Me Decide! TT Bluesy or GMT

So I'm about to finalize but need the opinions of the forum. I love the features of the GMT but the look of the TT is so powerful! This will be my first Rolex of many to come.

Not the reason I am buying but which watch do you see holding its value best into the future?

Bluesy keeps its value well. However appreciation is slow. Go to youtube and check out Bijou Diamond video. It goes into more details about the value of the Bluesy.

if this is your fist, I'd recommend the bluesy. Get the sunburst dial, it's stunning. The watch dresses up and down with ease. I feel it's a versatile watch that you will not regret having. I had a purple (faded dial) 5 digit that I regret selling. Good luck and happy hunting.

Get A bluesy. Since you like colorful watches you will probably want models like the Pepsi, Hulk and Batman. So why buy a black bezel model that you will just want to flip.

This same question is something I have been struggling with for years since I only wanted to own one Rolex to keep it “special.” I’ve own the GMTc LN twice now and always sold it for something “better.” The last flip I did, I let go of the GMTcLN for the 116613LB.
The bluessy is an eye-catcher for sure, but it’s only on rotation at work when I wear blues, grays, and browns.
Now, I’ve been thinking I “need” to add the GMTc (or 116334 Black index) again for those days I wear black.
Hope my observations help out a bit.

If you have all of them next to each other you will CLEARLY see the bluesy blows the other 2 out of the water by a long long mile. (And yes I have all of them once at the same time).

One of the most iconic and beautiful watches ever made from Rolex.

This is so tough, I keep going between this and the BLNR now. The pros are definitely in favor of the LB. 2k below MSRP versus 2k above.

I have both. i think for the first watch its better the GMT - 116713.....the black is not as in your face as the blue. i love blue sub, but it might be a bit loud in certain sitatutions so i keep it as a watch for formal occaisons

There's just no way of knowing. And if you do include that into your equation, you're just gonna confuse yourself and take away from the enjoyment of buying a new watch.

My vote is for the bluesy, one of the best watches ever made, IMO.

This.

Plus, you say 1st of more to come, you can add a black sub date anytime anywhere, which I can also recommend. Start with the Bluesy, you won't regret it.

Good luck.

If you travel often, as I do, the GMT function is amazing. Being able to jump the hour hand without stopping the movement is one of those little things you come to appreciate. If I ever had to be a one watch guy, God forbid, BLNR would be my choice. It is far more versatile than the bluesy. It gives you just enough color to be different but is subdued enough to wear with a suit. I love the bluesy but it is a bit too flashy for me to wear with business attire.

They're all great watches. If you're somehow able, try them all on and see which one speaks to you. If not, I'd figure out which watch checks the most boxes for you and go for that. For me, I don't like TT's at all so that's out. I've had the no date Sub and loved the look, but the date complication is something I really missed because I seemed to use it more often that I realized so that one is out. I own the BLNR and it checks a lot more boxes for me. Love the look, I use the date complication regularly, and I travel often so the GMT function is way more useful for my needs than the bezel timer on the Sub. The PCL's and Easylink didn't grow on me as expected so I purchased a 97200 bracelet a short time later and now it's perfect for me.

Weather forcast: Clear skies, temperature in the upper 70s, trade winds 10 to 15 mph... And a BLUESY.

Bluesy for sure. I am right now deciding if I should try and sell my almost like new 2015 116040 sub and my '15 Blue Tudor Pelagos to try and fund a 116613lb flat dial. I just cant decide how much cash I'm willing to add to make it work (if any).

The other thing is, I love the blue pelagos, and am not sure I want to give it up for the bluesy. Something about the Tudor "not" being a Rolex (exactly) is what appeals to me about it. I love that its so different. Plus I adore the dial (and hands), clasp, and titanium construction. In a perfect world, I'd have both; but financially that's not an option right now.

Maybe I just save some more for the big 50 in a few years time? lol.
