What watch next?
Hi all,
I hope you are having a lovely day. I'm posting my current watch collection, It looks like a diver collection but i'm keen to replace the Certina with a chrono or a dressier steel piece. I'd like to keep the collection to 3 watches, I've been going back and forth on the Speedmaster professional and to a lesser extent the Tudor 1926 39mm. What watch would you add to this collection (non Rolex only please)? Thanks in advance for your comments/suggestions. |

As you mentioned, your watches look alike.
If I were you, I would choose my next watch to be a dressy watch, without a crowded bezel. But this will be meaningful only if your job conditions, suits etc is adequate for a dress watch. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Of the two you’re considering, the speedy pro without a doubt.
The Omega Railmaster is also an interesting watch, I think. For something on a leather strap, take a look at the Grand Seiko GMT ref SBGM221. |

Speedy would be a perfect addition. I’d suggest the CK2998 blue panda to add some color, but you seem to like black.

I'd definitely replace the Certina with a Speedmaster Professional.

Just my opinions, but:
1. The "real" Speedy is the hesalite model. The rest of the Speedmasters are simply homages to that version and have little or nothing to do with astronauts. 2. The Speedy will add another black dial, tool watch to your black dial, tool watch collection. I traded away my Speedy, in part, because it regularly lost out to my Sub when it came to wrist time. 3. There are tons of nice chronographs out there that can provide a change of pace for your collection. One of my favorites is the Breguet Type XX-- black dial but also dressier, sport watch. GP made a bunch of chrono's that can be had with various dial looks. I particularly like the 4956 family of 40mm chrono's. |
