Is the 26331st blue undervalued?
With 15400 blue asking prices in mid 20s, why would you choose a 15400 over a 26331st? And damn won’t it look good on a rubber b strap? Pics below.
If Patek is any reference, the 5980 trades at a premium to the 5711... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I think the premium prices have to do with the rarity of blue 15400. I think they are still produced lesser in numbers than blue Roc.
Also, while ROC does offer a very sporty look, the timeless design of RO, I think blows anything out of waters for any other model with same dial colour. Another thing to factor in is blue RO is boutique only, whereas blue ROC isn’t; hence the rarity. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

the ROC doesn't not have an in house movement. Doesnt bother me, but its a knock on the watch generally. A RO is the classic RO no matter if its a 15202, 15300, 1540, etc and the ROC never will be IMO.

Mmm. I guess it’s personal preference- the 15400 blue never really did it for me but the 26331st and the 15202 really hit the spot...

Good points so not apples to apples for steel - however doesn't the 5980R on strap and on rubber also trade at a premium to the 5711R? The in house is still the point as well as classic lines I guess.

Is the 26331st blue undervalued?
I agree, and I am biased :)
Really the roc as a package offers much more than the 15400. It is under valued in my books but who am I? The market said it's word. My only remark on the roc is the fact that over the last 10 years there were so many variants of it that made the line up confusing and less exclusive. I think ap should focus on few dial options and make it more exclusive like the Jumbo. Regarding the movement, yes it is not in house but heavily modified by AP. Plus it is very limited used movement in the industry so cannot be compared to valjoux or lemania movements where you can find in wide range of watches from sub 3k to 20k price ranges. Finally, who in his right mind would buy steel Daytona for 22k if he can get the roc in steel for almost same price (panda configuration)? |

I'll pick the 26331ST Blue over the 15400 blue any time any day. In fact, the 15400 blue isn't even my fav in the 15400 series. That belongs to the silver dial.
The 15400 blue is trading at a premium because of it's relative scarcity.

I think the blue 26320 has the potential for a future classic. total blue face, just like the 15202.

im with you on that. i prefer the 26320 to the 26331. the dial is much shinier, and the new style is too aggressive for me.

Not for me, I had the monotonous white old ROC and would much rather have had a Panda or contrasting subdials. That's what the time only are for imho. Looks like they are starting the Code chronos off like this as well.
