Breitling Service USA

Question to the fans, USA:

Did you choose Breitling USA, Wilton, CT as the service center for your Breitling at any time?

Were you satisfied with the service and cost?

If not, any other go-to recommendations for service that have a Breitling account and certification?

I have a 18k/SS 43mm Chronomat Evolution, MOP/diamond marker dial, that I have no knowledge when it was last serviced if at all, and want to ensure its overall "working health" for its next phase.

Thanks a bunch!

Funny you're asking this question. See my thread I just posted. I think it will help you decide. I am looking for an alternative repair center as well. Going to call a jeweler tomorrow to see if he has any recommendations. Will keep you posted. But I would still like to hear any recommendations other members have. Thanks for any support.

I have used them twice.
Once to service my Navitimer at two year mark, free of charge.
Once more to service my Chronomat 44 that was not maintaining wind/power reserve.
Both times were handled professionally and rather quickly. Had them back in under a month, closer to three weeks.
I went online, filled out form, waited for shipping box in the mail and sent it to them.
Will use them again.

I have used them once to service my Chrono Avenger. The only hiccup was that I brought it to a Breitling boutique, who in turn sent it to Connecticut and assured me that there would be no shipping charge. Once I received the estimate, it included a $30 return shipping fee. I call the service center and they graciously waived the fee, citing a mistake by the boutique employee.
Otherwise I was happy with their service.

Shipped for Service to BUSA

Well...Finally my TT Chronomat Evolution is on its way to Wilton, CT for service.

On the fence about possible polishing (not sure it needs it ?, as has been worn infrequently); will wait for verdict along with their estimate.

Typically the polishing is included free of charge as part of the service.

They made it look new. That’s interesting - the click and bezel springs are no extra charge.

TT, MOP,diamonds on indices - looks stunning - a dual chrono/diver functioned Breitling

Thank you, guys.

BUSA customer service stated that it was in very good condition before they serviced it, and that it looked like it had not been worn much. They made it look 'brand new'.

BUSA service is top notch. I've sent my Colt GMT twice and it's come back good as new. Also customer service is very quick with correspondence by email.

Sent two watches in for complete overhauls . Both purchased in 1996 . Chronograph Blackbird and Navitimer Aviastar . The Blackbird came back with the pusher to actuate the chronograph faulty . When actuated it slowly resumed the position , it would take at least 30 seconds before you could stop the chrono. The Aviastar came back totally nonfunctional .Today received the Aviastar , seems to be functioning fine still waiting on my Blackbird .

I prefer to send my watches to High Grade Watch Repair in Plano, TX. Tell them I referred you if you choose to go that route. I am always pleased with their work and often is superior to Breitling's (in my opinion).

Keep in mind, I have probably serviced 10 watches through Breitling and 25 through my guy.

I will mention, I have had several watches come back with issues. This is why I do not prefer going through Breitling for service. One had an issue never fixed, another had a mark in the dial, and a third came back with the date turning at 5AM.

However, I go through Breitling for all warranty work and have never had an issue with warranty work. On Moonphases, you will have to go through them as well if your watch needs parts since the parts are factory controlled.

Both are great options, and BUSA is not bad by any means. I have just had better luck with my watchmaker.

FWIW, I've used BUSA twice with no complaints. Both times were for servicing of a Crosswind.
