Unworn Comex up for sale

On my daily browse of Watchfinder (sad I know) I came across this stunning example of a unworn Rolex Seadweller Comex edition for sale! Imagine it won’t be around for long.

I’m sure it was only a couple of years ago you could have picked one up between 50k-100k. Although like you say I’ve never seen one complete with box, papers and stickers unworn.

There's a 16610 Comex on Chrono24 but the price is not disclosed. I did not even know they existed.

Not worth the money unless used and issued to a Comex diver.

I’m sure I’m correct in saying that some Comex watches were issued to office staff, assuming this must be one of them.

I imagine Watchfinder just put the asking price out there to see if anyone would be willing to pay it, as they do with most of their steel Rolex these days. I’d like to think they’d take 150k.

Wow, would it be a bit of a shame if someone bought this and actually started wearing it?

Yes, this is weird. I'm no expert on these, but they didn't make modern Comex models did they?

I thought these comex models ceased production before Rolex went to plastic warranty cards. I may be wrong.

Anyone know?

Then again it does have the hollogram on the side of the case on the plastic. Which coincides with platic card/new box vintage no?

I am considering buying it and having a Comex diver wear it. Then I can sell it for EVEN BIGGER MONEY!

I'm with you on this one. I like watches but I like cars more. When I see those exorbitant prices for watches I always translate them to the potential motoring pleasures...

Maybe they will do one of their talking hands videos on it. Then it will be a star and definitely worth it.
