I have a sickness ...

I have a watch addiction i think ...

Proof:

2 - years ago my collection was size = 1 (an heirloom piece handed down from my father) - 1970's Omega Constellation (love that piece!)

- Then 2 years ago finally acquired my first luxury watch that i paid for, a Breitling Avenger 2 Seawolf in yellow. -- perfect starter piece, that thing is like a tank.

- < 6 months ago, i acquired a PAM .. more expensive than the Breitling, love it too.

- last month I acquired my first Rolex, a beautiful 116613LB .. and even though i said i would baby this piece, i've now decided to make it a daily wear piece for now. (its too beautiful to not wear it).

.. And now .. i have found myself browsing some trusted sellers sites, drooling over what might be next..

perhaps an Omega Speedmaster Pro?? .. maybe a more classic PAM .. or can I really do a second Rolex already?? ..

i think i have a fever .. and the only prescription is ...

anyone else have these symptoms?

You got the fever, DavidSW got the cure. (Or at least temporary remission of symptoms.)

This is a safe place to be open with your addiction. We are all junkies and the first step is admittance!

The first step is admitting you have a problem. The second step is allowing the TRF community to nurture that problem by enabling you to buy more watches

Yip, my grandfather's constellation was also the start for me; the gateway to mainlining horology, through my wallet, straight to the eyeballs.

Well, you've come to the right place if you want enablers to help feed your growing horological addiction! In reality one fine Rolex should be enough for most people, but many of us want more. I only advocate buying these expensive trinkets when absolutely all your other financial obligations are taken care of. A watch isn't going to change your life. Do enjoy the hobby though. Good luck! Cheers!

You are not alone. At first I thought it was just me. That is why I joined TRF. I keep telling myself that I will quit after the next one. That has not worked so far.

BTW - That is one fine looking 116613LB!

thats how it always starts. I started my journey with a Rado a long long time ago, then a Tag Heuer and the rest is history.

It is definitely a difficult thing to deal with. Financially painful as well. Lol

I try to explain to my wife that it is a clinically recognized illness.
Still doesn’t believe me.

I am sitting here watching American Pickers and Mike just bought an old trash can for $200.00. Said he has someone that wants all the old trash cans he can get. Just saying things could be worse. Diseases are relative, enjoy yours.
Cheers

Many Trusted sellers would say it's not a disease, but a Business.

Why should it be different for us?
