Strategy behind the 1159
Saw a thread over the PP forums: https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=650780
I don't think the watch is super poorly received by people who are hard line sports watch Royal Oak fans and opens up the brand to people would have never considered AP as an option before. considering the dail layout, its got a lot of space so they have the option to open add different complications and compete in the super traditional complications area held by PP/VC/Lange. But yeah this launch is botched up, they went too big and released too many models, should have just dipped their toes with the perpetual calendar or chrono. |

I could but that opening up toa wider audience argument if AP didn't already make many traditional dress watches and complications

I am not a fan of the current RO design.
I like the design of the lugs on the 11.59 and the dial size. Can’t wait to see the price in OZ.
