Sub 16613LB (Bluesy) - first time wearer notes..

I've seen several threads of folks considering buying this watch (116613LB) wondering how flashy it is, and how much attention it gathers.

I've now had the watch for 2+ weeks, and worn it almost daily .. and have taken one trip to Las Vegas, played mostly poker.

Back at home in Seattle, the watch does not gather much any attention at work (tech worker), or as i go about my daily activities.

In the casino setting though, I've never had so many comments made to me about my watches .. (I also wear a breitling avenger 2 seawolf with the yellow dial, and a PAM 1523 with a white dial).

Both my other watches are not subtle, and i gather comments about them usually once every six months, if its more than that its usually from other watch lovers.

The TT Sub got at least one comment per day (over a 5 day trip), and it was from non-watch folks, the types of comments ranged from compliments on the looks, to commentary about my possible financial position if i wear this watch. (all comments occurred at the poker table).

So just fyi -- in some settings this watch can be an attention grabber, i personally don't mind, i was surprised that it got that much attention, but it fit well with the table image i was trying to project, so for me its a pretty darn good Las Vegas poker watch.

Great shot, the LB is definitely a looker! The casino lights at the tables are quite like mood lights, and seem to highlight watches in a very flattering way. I usually have my watch hand in my lap, though.

I also stay & game at Aria. How the heck did you get that photo? I've never taken my phone out at the table (blackjack), but when other people have done so, the dealer is always quick to tell them to step away from the table.

When I was in Vegas last month, the young man sitting to my left complimented me on my BLNR as he got up to leave (so he was looking in my lap?? lol). When he returned, I noticed he had a black Sub.

Great Shot !!! The 116613LB is one of my favorite watches and also the
one I've received the most compliments on...

Have had mine for about 4 years now... Been my daily
and also worn in rotation through out it's life so far.
Need to mention I also had a 5 digit blue TT sub 16613lb for about
2 years way back... Was my first Rolex and unfortunately let it go...

I wore the LB daily for over 2 years and loved it. However, it got old and I now find a plain SS sub far easier to live with. Enjoy your honeymoon, mine lasted about 2 years!

Never had any comments on other Subs, Daytona, APs, etc. The 116613LB I've also had a few random compliments on. It's probably because it happens to be an iconic Rolex model that stands out (versus say, a black Sub which is arguably more iconic, but flies under the radar for the vast population).

I just picked mine up a few weeks back. Honeymoon is in full swing. I am hoping this is the one but after about a dozen Rolexs over 40 years I wont be holding my breath.

In a casino setting, especially table games, people are really looking at your hands. That and the lighting they use set off the shine. You should try Craps next time!

You're in Vegas. 1/2 the people that commented on your Bluesy use to own one until they 1. had to hock it at a pawn shop, or 2. got ripped off by a hooker.

I have owned the non ceramic and ceramic TT Blue Sub. I loved them both dearly but ultimately I sold them as they were just a bit flashy for me as I aged. Great watch just not for me.

I’m surprised the TT would create interest at a LV poker table.

When I got to 70 Tom, a flashy TT was all I had.

Great image it projects at the table!

Aria 2-5 plays like a 5-10 anyway :)

Easily my favorite watch!

Table limit is too low. I've seen some poker players wear watches that are worth several hundred thousand and diamonds everywhere - it was high stakes poker.

On that table your Bluesy wouldnt get a look in. Heck even a full YG Rolex wouldnt get a look in at those tables.
