One of Seiko's downfalls
As much as I am a Seiko fanboi for the last 20 years I do have some nick picks with them. The last few years it has been the quality control on the lower end models.
Another one has been lack of selling movement parts outside the US on certain models. Now I can get a mainspring for a 6r15 but that is all. On the 8l35 I can get the case gaskets but that is all. Now this beauty has to be sent back to Japan for an auto wind mechanism. |

Can you buy a couple of complete movements to use as parts donors, or don’t they sell them complete either?

I agree with the quality control issues;
My husbands new 777 runs -30 seconds slow and has a very sticky bezel. He talked with our Seiko AD,,, who amazed us by offering to send us a new 777, when one comes in . I believe he’ll be paying for the shipping of the old watch back to! We really hope he follows through on this wonderful customer service! |
