Hi was training at the gym and when my training was finished i went back to my locker to notice that the lock had been cut and that everything was missing.Even my watch which was a 18 kt Rolex daytona black face with the all the black numbers on the gold bezel rubbed off. the model number was 16528 and the serial number is E33***9.
So this is why i am trying to find the fax or email number so that i could send the info to rolex.please let me know if you can help!!

That theft was an inside job without a question in my mind.

Someone familiar with this gentleman who'd seen him around wearing that watch knew which locker he had and what times he shows up at the gym.

I hear about such locker-room thefts all the time.

Just another reminder not to leave your watch in a locker secured only by a flimsy Dudley-combo lock.

A video camera in a locker room?? Isn't that a "slight" invasion in privacy?

Sorry to hear that !

Once more, I remind to all friends here what I was told by my uncle, ( big fan of Rolex and with a collection back in the late sixties ), when I had my first Rolex (a Sub) 38 years ago.

"Never take it off your wrist. You take it off ? 50 % you lost it !"

Rolexes can take anything. Do not worry. So, DO NOT TAKE THEM OFF

its nice to see someone with such a positive mind set, i really hope you find your watch. What if you went through your home insurance, would that cover the cost of the watch?

Eventually it will need a service. My first DJ, purchased in '95, is still running perfectly. Ironic downside, maybe? My regrets to you both and I hope you get your watches back.

not if it's a private club and/or it's posted clearly that the area is monitored for security.

Same thing happened to my neighbor. He left his Yaughtmaster in his locker and when he came back, everything was gone. He was under the impression that his loss was a inside job also, but could never prove it. Hopefully you get your watche back in the future, sorry to hear your story.

This is the reason I will never buy a modern day Rolex without box and papers, it's just not worth the risk.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I know that I'd feel terrible if my 16610 was stolen, so I can't imagine how you must feel with such a costly watch.

Good luck! I really hope you find it.

Terrible. very sorry to hear. people will do more crazy things these days since many are out of work.
I will never remove watch and put in locker in gym. It's destined to be stolen IMHO.

I play Hockey once a week, two weeks ago, a bunch of guys had their wallets rummaged through and had a bunch of cash stolen. One guy had his GMT in his front pocket but that was overlooked...proving it was some of the kids who were playing before us. Anyone else would have known. Personally I bring my wallet, phone and watch to the bench. Sadly, last week another team had the same experience. Regardless of what you are doing, the safest place for your stuff is on your body or right next to you. Sorry to hear about your loss, I hope you are insured.

make a boiler plate letter and fax it around to all the pawn shops putting them on notice for it. Hopefully you will get it back. I sure hope it was insured.

I don't think so..isn't a posted sign "not responsible for lost or stolen items"
or "use lockers at your own risk" posted all that is needed?

Just thinking out load.

For reasons that are obvious after the fact, gyms are common place scenes for theft. I have had friends who have had locks cut while working out. I have even had a friend whose car was broken into while he was in the gym.
Both had significant loses which leads one to believe those who did the act knew who and what they were after.
It is a world without a moral compass that we live in. Unfortunately, it will only get worse due to the current conditions.
Here in the DR where I live, sometimes the police are worse than the criminals....or related.
