Sbgw231

Hey guys,

What are your thoughts on the GS SBGW231? I haven’t seen this watch anywhere.

I’m thinking of this one but it would most likely go on a casual suede gray/blue strap and daily worn. What are you thoughts? Or is this a dress only piece?

Enabling photos are welcomed.

Thanks!

I handled this one in person and loved it as a dress watch at the boutique. Just beautiful and if I can't hunt down a SBGW253 in reasonable time/cost.....I will most likely pick one of these up.

Yeah the 253 is a beauty, but I guess they are a bit difficult to find. I’m really surprised on how quiet the 231 is everywhere, I can’t find videos on it nor reviews. It’s a beauty for the not so high price tag, I’m considering it because I feel its a piece that will age great.

I've only seen this reference in pictures, but I have to say it's one of the best looking three-handers in current production among all the brands. Top-quality Grand Seiko manual wind movement gives it a great value-for-money proposition.

I prefer the 253 over the 231. In particular, the slightly larger case, retro logo, and more classic design.
