Sell it all for gold

If nothing comes out that sings to me this basel I am considering selling out 3 watches plus cash for a gold subc.

What do you think?

114060
Tudor bb s&g
Tudor pelagos blue

The only one I may keep is the subc because it is hard to let it go....

Sounds like a reasonable plan if that’s your true want now. I’ve done the same consolidation and purchase a few times over the last 15 years. Prior to that I would add something interesting but, never sold anything.

I originally thought you meant investing in just gold and not a watch!

Hell Yes. A 116618LB is a far superior watch than those 3.

The full gold PM Bluesy is a watch many aspire to own including myself.

I think that's a great plan.
Would you consider another model in precious metal? maybe GMT or day date since you already have a sub?

I like the gold Sub, but would not do that. You are getting rid of a couple classics and they are a drop in the bucket compared to cost of the gold Sub

For sure I'd go for it. I'd much prefer having one PM over multiple stainless watches.

I guess it depends on whether you think you'll be happy wearing just subs. I couldn't.

Lately I am in the same dilemma, thinking of selling everything and buy a DD40 but keep my 116520 because it was my very first Rolex watch.

I was in a similar position 2 months ago .... make the leap of faith with a piece you have been looking at for awhile. It was my first precious metal watch as well, no regrets.

I'm all in for the bluesy...such a great watch. One of my favorite references all time.

But...careful you don't cut too deep, Eliot. As much as I love it, I don't think it could be an only for me.

When you say, if nothing comes out 2019 that interests. Does that even matter - no way to buy new releases these days.

Move approved btw.

I think you maybe overestimating the value of your collection. Hold on to it and just buy the PM piece you want.

I’m not sure I could ever be a one watch guy, so I’d definitely keep one and add the PM
