New Watch.

I am not a fan of long incomings and waiting for the reveal, so, with little fuss, I went to Leeds this morning and bought this;

I am really chuffed with it. My wrist is about 6.5" and I wear it low down and slightly loose. Hope you like it. As an aside, they had a couple of GS Snowflakes in, it was interesting that one had gold hands and markers, it looked nice but I preferred them in silver. She explained that they were originally for the Japanese market but have decided to open them up to further markets.

Very nice, Dave. I bought the very same one last week and I'm very impressed with it.

Thank you very much, I must admit, I am really pleased with it, the blue of the bezel is quite discreet, it will take a better photographer than me to capture it correctly.

Art, yes, I do, very much so. I have always thought that the "sweet" spot on my wrist has been about 39mm, this watch seems to defy that logic, it seems to fit very well with my size wrist. (6.5")

I knew that I was going to Leeds today to try on this watch, your thread alerted me to it, I thought it was a beauty. I tried it on yesterday and my thoughts were confirmed. I wore my GS quartz this morning because it is the smallest watch I own at 37mm and knew that coming straight from that, it would look big. It didn't at all.

Honestly Art, I am firmly entrenched in the smaller watch looks better (on my wrist) fraternity, but this watch just fitted perfectly.

Thank you my friend, without you, I wouldn't have considered this watch, I'm really chuffed with it. My wife is used to big numbers when I talk watches, so when I told her this cost 7, I saw her eyes roll, she couldn't believe I meant hundreds rather than thousands, I laughed, goodness me, is that where she thinks I am?

I'm glad I was a help thanks! I too was a little hesitant with 42 and 44mm but they do wear smaller than that.

Congrats on your new addition! The slightly upstream Seikos with sapphire crystals and better materials really feel good.

That watch looks perfect on you’
I think you’ve been looking for the right one for a little while now.
Wear it in good health!
( don’t be at all surprised if your wife would like to try it on !)

Thank you very much Michelle, my wife isn't really into watches. (Yes, I know) We were married on a cruise ship in Seattle harbour, I was wearing a TT DJ and thought it a noble gesture to give her that watch as a gift, not for one minute expecting her to accept. She had it resized within the hour and hasn't taken it off since. Lol.

Your gesture was most appreciated I think! She’s a lucky lady!

It is a little tough to tell, but is the bezel blue and the watch face black?

Yes. Here we call it the SBDC063. One of my favorite watches in a long time.

Congrats Dave.

The Seikos do wear smaller. I am in the 6.5 inch wrist club. I prefer 38-40 mm watches, but I can wear Seikos that are larger.

I won't say they all wear small. The Sumo's are to big for me

I’ve never tried one on. True for SKX, Turtle and Samurai.
