Sel & hollow?!
Hey Y'all,
Just doing some general reading and i'm really struggling to understand this... Let's look at a 16710 as an example... I know from reading that the A serial numbers or after 2000 SEL were introduced... but when looking at a 1999 model VS a 2007 16710 model they look exactly the same? I've been reading up on it for the past few days but really getting confused.... I'm more of a visual person, and I'm hoping someone can show me the difference with a photo on advice of how I can spot a SEL vs a Hollow link. TYIA. |

You’re not alone. I have been wondering the same for a long time and finally understood a few weeks ago when I took off some bracelets for cleaning. My EX2 with SEL compared to the hollow end links of a Seiko made the difference abundantly clear.
Padi’s pics above are the perfect comparison and is exactly what I noticed. It was the first time I’d ever seen a SEL and it hit home right away. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
