Tomorrow I'm going to my AD, can you say WHAT do you think about the Millgauss GV

It is important for me to know your opinions because it would help me to make my decision if buy it or not.

Thanks very much in advance.

the only thing that should matter is if it smiles at you. Who cares about what the forum thinks. And yes Milgauss is a classic and great choice, but what's your other choice?

Love the milgauss, all of them. The GV is beautiful, and the lume as well. I would negotiate hard, the economy is slow and the pricing on them is dropping. Having said that, I would definitely get it either way, she's a beaut!!:thum bsup:

They are giving me 10% off as the lowest they can go, they wouldn't go lower and I tried the watch today, I like it very much but there's one thing makes me doubt about it. It has not date on it. I missed the date in my White Daytona M series but I let it go because it is a Daytona. I collect Rolex watches and have 8 already (posted before my collection in this forum). The GV is an anniversary edition and it is a good idea to have it in my collection.

My Collection is:

Datejust Turnograph TT champagne face
Datejust TT fluted bezel white Roman numerals
GMT SS IIc
GMT TT IIc
Submariner LV
Submariner BLUE
Yachmaster SS Platinum
and White Daytona M series.

Thanks for your opinions.

If I'm honest, with a collection like that, do you really need another watch with a date? It's a beautiful watch, not to mention unique. If it smiles at you, by all means go for it, 10% is very reasonable on a GV.

I love the GV. The others I am not crazy about.

What matters is what you think. Follow your heart and you will be happy. Follow ours and you will be miserable.

I would have never thought that the Milgauss GV was my type of watch until I saw it in person at my AD and after I tried it on I fell in love. It is hard for me to say which one is my favorite, however I really love the GV. I went to Las Vegas for new years and nowhere did see any GVs. I got quite a bit of attention at the Rolex store at the Wynn.

It's one of the few stainless steel watches that I would actually wear (well, probably not, but I'd buy it). I like it better than the SS Daytona to be honest.

I remember when they came out a couple years ago, everyone was going ga-ga for the GV. I've never seen it, but I have seen the white and the black with the normal crystal.

I didn't like either of them

To pay extra for a green saphire which I hear Rolex has been having a lot of trouble manufacturing (I heard rumours that the green saphire would crack prematurely also), doesn't make sense.

Ask yourself................does green glass really make a difference, and if so, why the premium?

Have a look at the other 2 in the range as well. I tried on the black dial and liked it. The white I think is very under rated too.

I really like the GV, the date is an issue but the enjoyment you get out of this watch far outweighs the few seconds per day that may annoy you by not being able to look down to see the date.

The added bonus is that the dial is very clear and no cyclops, just a beautiful design. Great TT lume too. Really a classic watch

I don't agree that you can see a green tinge on the white writing through the glass.

I really like the GV... Not so much on the white/black. Saw both again at my local AD tonight.

You really have to hold it in person to admire the green. At first, I thought it wouldn't make a difference, but it is actually pretty cool.

I really like the look of the GV, and weight and size of the milgauss is really solid. i definitely think its a good watch to have in a Rolex Collection (The GV particularly). Although I dont have one as yet, if i get one at 30% off retail I might consider.

I don't own one but I do like the GV's. I think they are unusual, classy, classic, and have an uncomplicated elegance.

Obviously the green crystal makes a difference to him, that's why he's looking into buying it The green crystal is one of the most unique designs Rolex has ever come up with, whether you like it or not. I did not like it originally when I saw the pics but once I saw it in person, all I could say is wow Its a great watch and with a 10% discount to boot......go for it. The regular white or black dials are now being offered at close to 20% discounts at some of the AD's here in SoCal.
