Bezel Springy on my Submariner is it normal.

Please could you let me know if its normal that if you push down on the bezel of the submariner there is a little give like a spring/spongy effect towards the crystal. Is this OK as I have only just noticed it. My watch is a 116613lb 2018 so relatively new.

I have a GMT and my bezel is not springy at all. It’s pretty fixed/firm.

I haven’t checked my SD43, but if I push straight down on my Tudor BB Steel bezel towards my wrist, it does have a spring-like effect.

Normal. It's even more prevalent on the Deepsea.

Yes on my brand new SD43 there is a very slight movement downwards if the ceramic bezel is pressed, then it springs back up. I imagine this has to do with the ratcheting mechanism, and also the slight clearance needed between the bezel and the case.

Yes, normal. Under the bezel there is a high-tensile circular shim which is uneven from new, this shim serves to keep lateral pressure on the rotating bezel so that its motion is not in direct contact with the case. The lateral motion you see is merely that shim compressing in and out and is “normal”.

Normal, it's sitting on spring loaded ceramic ball bearings.

Crap, my 114060 is defective, too!

Kidding, of course, though it’s fair question to ask.

It’s completely normal.

The 6 digit Subs and SD's are all "springy", and do not sit absolutely flush, but the 6 digit GMT's sit flush with no springiness at all.

It’s when the bezel stops being “springy” on the new models that one should be concerned that detritus has accumulated underneath to an excessive level.

Normal - used to have it in my LVc when I owned it. Have it on my DSSD.
