NON Rolex - Black leather dress watch, which one?
what would your pick be? I could wear my GMTIIc everywhere, all day, but sometimes I think I may need a leather band dress watch for work
easy for me, Patek, but hell if I can afford one.. slim, 38-42mm... lets say $1000-$3500 as a limit to keep it exciting (and realistic for me haha). must be automatic obviously, but otherwise WIDE open.. for some reason i like the TAG Monaco in blue, but the acrylic crystal turns me off (although they show up used cheap)... and i like some Omega dress watches as well... not opposed to vintage either, in fact would prefer it if I could find a decent 38mm one! most are toooo tiny for a 260lb guy! |

Here are a couple of mine that do tuxedo duty...
This is not strictly a Rolex thread...........but it's a nice day outside...the sun is shining and the birds are singing... I'll let it slide for a couple of hours...

Grand Seiko GMT SBGM003. Quality is at least as good as a Rolex... you'll be surprised. All hand made In house mouvement Over COSC certification, test 15 days also but 6 position and 6 degrees of T°. And they only accept -3 , +5sec Give it a try And its a REAL WIS Watch ! Only connoisseurs know them ;-) High level on my wish list

Easy answer for me...
The Stowa Marine Original, you have a choice of either Arabic or Roman numerals. Has a decorated handwound unitas 6498 movement with clear case back. Although I've yet to get my hands on one yet (Fleiger Original on pre-order) Stowa get nothing but rave reviews from those who have them. At approx 800 euros they're also excellent vfm...all the money goes in to the watch as they don't advertise and they sell direct.

I like the Oris Artelier range. A vintage Omega might be nice too.

I'm all over the idea of a vintage Omega. If you want something a little more "different," how about a vintage Mido?
