Submariner Date Crown question with pics
Another member posted a pic of a Submariner with the Crown pulled out. It looks NOTHING like mine does pulled out.
Based on the warranty card, mine is a 2018. Came from DavidSW about a month ago. My question is why do they look so radically different? Thanks in advance. Top pic is not might. The bottom pic is of mine (sorry, I wear it all the time and it is fairly cruddy) |

It’s not pulled out, it’s detached.

I think that's a pic of a date Sub with the stem pulled all the way to the date position. (??) Or maybe detached (??)) (I have a Sub but don't want to pull it out because my time is spot on.)

The crown is the top is detached. That is way to far out of the stock position.

Yeah not sure what the heck that TRF user did to get the stem out that far. I saw his picture thread too today and was thinking WTH when I saw that.

Well... The top pic is shot by a professional photographer. The watch in question is brand new, has been cleaned and de-greased. I expect it was given an additional polish and fluff at Rolex especially for the photo shoot. Finally it was professionally staged and lit, then fussed over some more in Photoshop.
The bottom pic is... Your watch, mass produced and has been worn. And yeah, the stem isn't pulled all the way out. :D |
