Icon2 Nagoya AD Grand Seiko Pics

I was in Nagoya, Japan, over the weekend and had time to drop into one AD (Bic Camera) and snap a few pics of Grand Seiko display cases. Sorry about all the light reflection in the glass. I also picked up quite a few magazines, brochures and leaflets, and will put up some scans of the more interesting stuff later this week. Anyway, for now . . .

Most of them are showing 20% off retail plus you get another 5% off for using Visa card.

Haven't been to Japan (and only been to 1 GS AD here in the states), but is it standard policy to keep the watches wrapped in plastic like that?

I guess as a future owner, it's nice...but if I'm handling a watch to purchase, I'd definitely like to see them unwrapped!

They're happy to unwrap for you. Then they'll carefully wipe them off and re-wrap them.

I love BIC and those leaflets are wonderful too, thanks for sharing. My wife and I will be in Japan for 1.5 weeks in June. Hopefully, they'll will have the 20% then as well (I think it's the rainy season). By chance, did you find any good shops for vintage GS?

Hope your wife did well in the marathon (!) and ya'll enjoyed your trip.

You'll be fine - Bic always has those kinds of 20% GS deals on offer, year round. As for vintage GS in Tokyo, I'm not too sure as I usually shop in the smaller cities like Hiroshima and Kyoto, but there seems to be a few vintage shopping guides online for Tokyo.

And thanks, yes she beat her record by about 40 minutes for a time of just over four hours

Pull out, but they still have the same depth rating as a Rolex Explorer or other non-divers (100m).
